How DELORY collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.

DELORY ("the Service") is operated by The Rich Mind Inc., a Canadian company. Your privacy is paramount to us, and this Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, how you can access, correct, or delete it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to all users of DELORY, including individuals using the AI companion, assessments, and wellness tools, and practitioners using the therapist portal.
Account information: when you create a DELORY account, we collect your name, email address, and profile details you choose to provide (such as gender and date of birth, which are used to personalize your experience, for example showing cycle tracking features for female users).
Information you voluntarily provide: this includes conversations with Delory (the AI counsellor), counselling session transcripts and summaries, mood entries, journal entries, CBT homework, Couple Mode check-ins and questionnaire responses, and any notes you add.
Wellness and assessment information: when you take assessments (such as PHQ-9, GAD-7, ADHD screening, or personality assessments), we store your questionnaire responses, scores, and generated insights and reports.
Practitioner-related information: if you use the therapist portal, we store the practice information and client records (such as names, contact details, and session notes) that you enter as part of managing your practice.
Technical and device information: we collect standard technical information such as your language preference, authentication session data, and basic device/browser information needed to operate the Service and keep your account secure.
Because DELORY is a mental wellness platform, you may voluntarily provide sensitive wellness-related information — for example, through conversations with Delory, assessments, journal entries, mood tracking, CBT activities, and Couple Mode features.
We use this information to provide the wellness features you choose to use: to generate your AI conversations, insights, summaries, and reports, to track your mood and progress over time, and to personalize your experience.
DELORY's assessments and screenings are self-reflection and wellness tools. Their results are not medical diagnoses, and nothing in the Service is a substitute for professional care.
When you choose "Sign in with Google," DELORY uses the OpenID, email, and profile scopes. Through Google Sign-In, DELORY may receive your name and profile information, email address, and Google account identifier.
This information is used only to:
We use your personal information to provide and improve the Service, including to personalize conversations and insights, store your assessments and wellness data, process subscription payments, send you service-related emails (such as session reminders and password resets), and communicate with you.
We do not sell Google user data or use Google user data for advertising. We do not use your Google Sign-In information for any purpose other than those described in this policy.
You are always free to stop using any feature (such as Couple Mode or voice sessions), and you can review or delete your data as described in this policy.
We do not sell personal information, including Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
A therapist or practitioner can only access your information if you intentionally connect with them or participate in a feature involving that practitioner (for example, if your practitioner sets up your care or you choose to notify them from the app). Therapists do not automatically have access to your information.
We share personal information only with service providers that are necessary to operate and secure the Service, each acting on our behalf and limited to their role. Each service provider receives only the information reasonably necessary to perform its function, and processes that information according to its applicable agreements and privacy terms:
DELORY uses AI to generate responses, insights, summaries, and reports. When you send a message or speak in a session, DELORY transmits the minimum information necessary — your input and the conversation context needed to respond helpfully — to its AI service providers so they can generate the requested AI responses, summaries, insights, or other AI-powered features for you.
The Rich Mind Inc. does not use your conversations, personal information, or Google user data to train its own AI models.
The optional facial expression detection feature during live counselling sessions processes data entirely on your device. No video, images, or biometric data are stored or transmitted — only anonymized text labels (such as "happy" or "sad") are used to help Delory respond with appropriate sensitivity.
Your personal data is stored using reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, and access controls that restrict personal data to you and authorized recipients (such as a connected therapist).
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your personal information, including information obtained through Google Sign-In, for as long as your account remains active, so that your history, assessments, and progress remain available to you.
When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted as described below. Some information may be retained for longer where there is a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or financial record-retention requirement, limited to what must be kept (for example, payment and billing records).
You can permanently delete your DELORY account and your associated personal information at any time from the Danger Zone in Settings, which removes your personal data from the Service.
You may also request deletion of your account and personal information, including information obtained through Google Sign-In, by contacting us at info@richmind.ca.
Deletion requests are processed as described above; we cannot guarantee immediate or permanent deletion from backup systems, and information may be retained as described in the Data Retention section where required.
You may contact us to request, where applicable: access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your information, or information about how your information is handled.
You can export your data from Settings (Privacy & Data controls), and you may delete your account from Settings at any time.

DELORY is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and is not directed to children or minors under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, please contact us at info@richmind.ca and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the changes, and the updated policy will be posted within the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
